Garland Support was formed with one goal in mind; to increase the independence of the people we support. We can only make this happen with the right management and support team in place. They must share this vision. So please meet our management team….

Why do you work in care?

I work in care because I want to make a difference. I am passionate about my job and enjoy giving my all to our lovely service users and staff. Working in care is incredibly rewarding I am a huge advocate for the service user. Doing my job allows me to raise awareness and I am privileged to be in the position I am in.

What’s the most important thing Garland Support do for our service users?

I would say the most important we do is being there for the service user. Creating a safe and secure environment in which the service user can enjoy their life, fulfil their goals, aspirations and flourish.

Why do you like working for Garland Support?

Firstly, our service users are a pleasure to support and we have a brilliant staff team. I’m also proud to lead a team that are so proactive in trying to make a difference to the people we support.

Why do you work in care?

For us, who work in care, no day is the same, and every day we have a success story where our service users lives have been positively transformed by supporting their independence and empowering them to fulfil their aspirations.  I love working in care because it is truly rewarding.

What’s the most important thing Garland Support do for our service users?

At Garland we are passionate about making a difference in care and in our service users lives. A lot of our service users describe us as a “family organisation” which is something that makes us really proud as we always endeavour for our service to be exceptionally caring, genuinely person centred, flexible and tailored to our service users wants and needs.

Why do you like working for Garland Support?

First and foremost because there is a strong caring culture among our organisation towards our service users and staff. We believe that a positive and inclusive work environment and open communication aligns with the values required for the person-centred, high quality care and support we provide. Garland also is committed to change and development and we encourage our staff to do the same with giving a lot of opportunities for career and personal development and wellness.

Why do you work in care?

I love working in care, it is such a fulfilling and diverse career. It’s such an honour and privilege, to be part of “making a difference”, observing individuals achieve success within their lives.

What’s the most important thing Garland Support do for our service users?

Garland offers such a personalised service to our service users,  like no other service I have worked for. Our service users have choice and control over the way their care is planned and delivered. Their care is based on what matters to them, their individual strengths and needs.

Why do you like working for Garland Support?

Working alongside staff whom also hold great passion and dedicated in making a difference.

We all hold great respect for one another as a team of staff, always there to support one another, not just within our professional roles but within our personal lives too.

Why do you work in care?

Perhaps the most common benefit is how rewarding working in care is. This isn’t a job, its so fulfilling. Every day I am enabling people to live there life to the fullest, to support with their lifetime achievements and goals, which in turns gives a real self of achievement. 

What’s the most important thing Garland Support do for our service users?

Really giving a person centred approach to all aspects of a service users support and needs. All care that Garland support give are completely tailored to suit each individual.

Why do you like working for Garland Support?

I don’t like, i love working for garland support because there is no other company comparable to the hard work and thought that goes into every care package. They really look after the service users and staff. They have such a brilliant open door policy which is a must. The variety , meaning no day is the same, and bonus that staff have a great working life balance.

Why do you work in care?

Care work inspires me everyday and has profoundly changed me as a person. The work we do can change people’s lives and I feel privileged to be able to work in this industry. Also how important it is to raise awareness in our communities so people are not defined by there disability, but treated equally.

What’s the most important thing Garland Support do for our service users?

I believe Garland Support pride themselves in person centred support, catering for everyone’s individual needs and ensuring support is never stagnant.

Why do you like working for Garland Support?

I like the way Garland support are a forward thinking company, trying to break barriers and always thinking of ways to improve and develop. Everyone’s ideas are listened to and encouraged which gives us endless opportunities on where we can go.
