Garland Support and Training Ltd is a newly formed company with a simple goal – to make a difference.
We have many years experience in Social Care and management.
Paul has worked within Social Care Management for the past 6 years, at Regional and Branch level.
Paul has experience of project managing, for a large national care provider, the implementation and on-going support for new and innovative local authority contracts, new branch start ups, the set up of large complex packages of support, and national management and care staff recruitment practices – to name a few!
Previous to this Paul managed a large domiciliary branch which provided support to people in their own home, including adults and children with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, mental health issues and the elderly.
Paul cares passionately about providing person centered support in its purest form, and is highly driven to ensure that Garland Support and Training become a leading provider of quality support in the local area.
Anthony has worked in a number of Social Care settings over the last 20 years that have enabled him to develop professionally and have provided invaluable experience. He has worked in senior positions at various residential care homes and educational settings in Exeter. He has strong links with Exeter Colleges department for students with learning disabilities having been senior support worker there for a number of years.
He has been an Approved Family Care Worker, fostering young people with various behavioural and emotional needs for a number of years. He was also previously a Supported Living Provider commissioned by Devon County Council Social Services. This was inspired by seeing the difficulties a family member experienced in finding suitable accommodation and support services.
“I understand the emotional trauma that can be caused seeing a loved one in such difficulty and therefore fully understand the need for high quality, honest provision.
After assisting him gain the skills and confidence required I oversaw the transition of moving on and can happily say he is now living fully independently.”
It was a combination of our experiences and a shared desire to make a difference, to help people live life to the full and achieve their potential that inspired us to set up Garland Support. Between us we identified a need for high quality support with the needs of the individual at the heart of everything we do.
We take a very hands on approach to work and one of us will always be available. We also have a small, dedicated team of qualified and experienced staff, who most importantly want to make a difference and share our values and vision.
